Finger Lakes Medical Associates Announces 2009-2010 Tuition Awards

Four Finger Lakes Medical Associates (FLMA) staff members are the recipients of tuition assistance awards given by the physician partners of the organization. To be eligible, recipients are required to be enrolled at an accredited institution and coursework must “have relevance to and enhance the employee’s position at FLMA.” This year’s award winners are: Kelly Long, LPN, Janet Keller, LPN, Deborah Ingram, LPN, and Sara Lawler.
Ms Long has worked for FLMA’s Pediatric Department since 1993. She is pursuing her RN degree (graduation date 5/11) by taking classes at both FLCC and Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing in Geneva. Janet Keller, an eleven-year employee of FLMA’s Pediatric Department, is studying for her RN degree through Excelsior College’s on-line program. Mrs. Ingram, a Pediatric staff member since 1996, is in her second year of study for her RN degree at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua. Sara Lawler, who has worked in the Internal Medicine Department for the past two years, will graduate as an RN in May, 2010, from Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing.
Finger Lakes Medical Associates is an independent, physician-owned, group medical practice caring for patients in the central Finger Lakes for over 45 years. FLMA physicians specialize in Cardiology, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, and Urology and see patients in their offices in Geneva, Penn Yan, and Newark.
